Local-first data storage
AgentDeduct is designed so expense records, mileage entries, receipt files, vendor names, amounts, categories, and tax reports stay on the user's own device/browser. The app owner and developer do not receive or store those records.
Anonymous activity counts
To understand app usage, AgentDeduct may collect anonymous feature activity such as visits, expenses saved, receipts attached, CSV exports, data downloads, print actions, OCR attempts, and OCR failures. These counts do not include expense amounts, mileage amounts, vendor names, receipt images, or tax records.
Receipt scanning
Image receipt auto-fill runs in the browser using an OCR library loaded by the app. Image receipts are compressed before being saved to the browser record. OCR results are estimates and should be reviewed before saving.
Backups and deletion
Users can export CSV reports, download local data backups, and clear local test data. Because records are stored locally, clearing browser data, changing devices, or using private browsing may remove saved records unless the user has downloaded a backup.
Feedback
If users submit feedback through the feedback form, the information they choose to provide may be received by the app owner through Netlify Forms. Users should not include private tax records, receipt images, Social Security numbers, or sensitive financial information in feedback.

AgentDeduct is a recordkeeping estimate tool only. Users should confirm deductions, filing treatment, and recordkeeping requirements with a qualified tax professional.
